I was at the fight. The guy behind me was a "body shot expert". Every time Kelly landed one, we heard it and he commented on it. So, I'll just stick with your post. :deal

 

Rubio came in with the right fight plan one fight to late. Team Pavlik said they would 'box more', it would be a technical fight, and even used the word "yoga".

 

Patience.

 

Since Rubio was doing pretty much what you can expect from AA this was HUGE. Pavlik's reach advantage was a key here. It will be greater against AA.

 

I do not know what you could see from your seat, but KP also spent an inordinate amount of time and effort on beating up Rubio's guard. And, the long lead left hooks to the head, hooking around the guard, followed by left hooks to the body were sweet as sugar.

 

The crowd went wild every time Rubio went to the ropes. They have learned to expect KO. One fight ago, Rubio may have had the perfect plan. Team Pavlik, and dare I say Jack Loew, was like the 3rd little piggy. One step ahead. Funny how when AA beat Marquez it was a brilliant bit of boxing. He broke his guy down. Rubio has more power than Marquez so the "yoga" paid off. For those that saw no improvement in Team Pavlik. :fy

 

Here's something that will bug me for a long time. I think it was after the 3rd round Jack said something to KP that I could't here, and Kelly reponded with "What if I get a chance to land somethin' big?" ??? And then Leow said something else I couldn't here. I wish the commentators would just shut the **** up between rounds.

I told you guys before this fight that no matter what Pav did the haters would come out in droves to critisize it. Tonight we've got at least 2 noobs that are on here for one purpose; hate on Pavlik. And, the usual crowd (Calzaghe and AA fans) are right there with them.

 

Dynamite there I just want to give you bit of advice. When it comes Pavlik, ANY critcisim of him and you will automatically be called an idiot, noobie and put on ignore BY HERMIT AND BOORADLEY, I would not even respond to PAVIK ball munchers, they actually compare RUBIO to AA:rofl ON THIS VERY PAGE, TAKE A LOOK UP MAN! So I am giving you a fair warning! I am sure it will get deleted, hopefully you will read it and see what I am talking about!
A guy that was KTFO by Jantuah from the first decent punch is compared to AA! I swear I thougth I heard it ALL!

No one is saying Rubio is on the same level with AA. You're just getting all emotional like you always do. So, are you saying that a fighter can not use a glorified sparring match to practice things he'll need in a future fight? If that's what you are saying, let me pass a little secret on to ya: It's called a tune up fight.
