Kelly Pavik is 35 (31ko) - 1 and is the WBC, WBO & Ring Champion at Middleweight and has never lost at that weight, beating the man who got 2 wins over one of the greatest middleweights of all-time by knocking out Jermain Taylor...something b-hop could not do, and his only loss is to B-hop at 170lbs a weight which he does not fight well at (which might have been a different fight if B-hop had to starve down to 160), he also beat Taylor a second time and also got a knockout win over Edison Miranda when he was one of the most feared Middleweights who's only loss at the time was disputed to the IBF Champ at the time. Pavlik will being fighting Paul Williams in November who is another P4P Fighter

Chad Dawson is 28 (16ko) -0 and was the WBC & IBF champ at 175 and has wins over a weight drained Adamek, Glen Johnson (all be it disputed) and 2 clear wins over Tarver. Dawson next fights a rematch with Glen Johnson.

Who is the better P4P fighter Kelly Pavlik or Chad Dawson??

Dawson. He'd be competitive against any style of fighter, whereas Pavlik would not.

I don't think Chad is an elite PfP and may not become one because of stamina issues mostly, but I do rate him more highly than KP.

Dawson's wins over Adamek, Tarver, and Johnson weigh much more highly than Pavlik's two wins over Taylor.

Plus, Pavlik suffered a humiliating one-sided loss at the hands of Hopkins.

To me, on a P4P sense, it's clear that Dawson is the better talent.

Bad Chad! No contest! Greater skills & speed! Pavlik's only chance would be to land an absolute bomb!

Re-watched Dawson v Johnson two nights back! Awesome fight! Bad Chad's beard not too bab! Too some very heavy punches from Gentleman Glen but stayed very composed! Without getting into who really won it was a very impressive performance and showed poise under pressure!

we're not talking about head to head here...

chad is definitely the far more technically capable and multidimensional of the two. i really like both of these fighters, but for completely different reasons.

This is cruel...they are both incredibly good with a lot ahead of them. Chad got a commanding points lead before Adamek came alive in the last few rounds. He really was in no trouble against Tarver, but then Tarver has been crap post-Hopkins. He did beat Johnson, but it's debatable if it was really a draw or even a loss. For Pavlik, he commanded Taylor twice. He destroyed Miranda, who has never been the same. Still, he got schooled by Hopkins. Damn it...this is cruelty!!! I guess until Pavlik beats someone of note, like Williams, I lean to Bad Chad.

Tough call really. Pavlik's last big win was January 2008.
Dawson's last big win was, oh wait . . . he doesn't have one.

Please. His win over Adamek is better than anything Pavlik ever did.
