I don't see how anyone can vote in favor of Pavlik here, Dawson is a true pound for pound fighter with some of the best skills in the current landscape of boxing.

Your on the money Boom Boom! Dawson appears to be one of the good guys of teh fight game and I would be suprised if he does not fulfill his potential! Hopefully he will get big numbers at home against Johnson and start building a substantial fanbase!

You would be wrong....I thought many people would turn their back on Kelly after his loss to Hopkins....If Pavlik was undefeated the poll would be the opposite way :yep

Dawson's more skilled/versatile and has better wins on his record (Adamek, Johnson, Tarver x 2, Harding > Taylor x 2, Miranda, Zuniga, Zertuche/Rubio).

I think the fight hurt him, but much more has it hurt him how defensive and almost scared he has come off ever since the fight.

He seems very scared to meet a fighter who is a risky opponent. At 160 there was only AA and they couldn't make a fight. In the end AA wanted more and stopped hoping for Kelly to regroup and find his balls. The rest are not of much class at 160. Willimas is an ok fight though. However, knowing that 160 is very weak, Kelly says "I want to stay at 160 and just rake in weak defenses....". Perhaps that is not what he means, but this is how boxing fans perceive Kelly now. He is in desparate need to show some risk taking to put the Hopkins fight behind him. If he loses and then quickly is back again it is better for his career than to just sit in a corner like a scared emo-kid.

Glen Johnson beat the crap out of Dawson, good thing Dawson had the judges in his favor.

Dawson. And it's not even close.

It's funny to see the Pavlik fans try to make an argument but fail miserably though.

Dawson is seriously over-rated, and Pavlik is seriously under-rated. It's a close one.

I wounder what people will say when Popkins schools Dawson as well?

How is Dawson overrated? The guy doesn't even have fans. No public recognition whatsoever.

Now the Pavlik fanboys. They sure know how to overrate a fighter.

It's indisputable that more people know who Pavlik is than know who Dawson is. And Dawson is the better fighter yet receives far less pub with the media. It seems you have the overrated and underrated critiques mixed around.

Chad Dawson : Antonio Tarver X2 , even a close fight against Glen Johnson rule it as you wish says something good the way it ended and by its happenning alone. Eric Harding also , although Dawson was knocked down then , just for the record , Tomasz Adamek when he was undefeated and a reigning champion. that's already much much more than Kessler and Calzaghe , maybe even ALL of hopkins career and the future is still in front of Dawson.
Pavlik : Taylor X2 (if it counts)
Is it a sufficient answer ?

That won't happen , unless you call what he did against Wright a schooling:wall :bump
And again , Tarver was drained against Hopkins.
