He is a very sore loser wheras Hopkins whom I actually really despise because of his prejudices was the mirror opposite, a true gentleman and someone who gained a degree of redemption in my eyes. I think Hopkins deep down is a good person but someone who is afraid and seeks continual reassurances. For the record Pavlik saying he couldn't find the leverage but not knowing why smacks of his complete lack of understanding of ring technique. Dear Pavlik, you couldn't find the leverage on your punches because Bernard outboxed you making you cross your body for the jab. If you can't understand that then maybe you will never amount to anything.
crafty - dictionary definition: skillful in underhand or evil schemes; cunning; deceitful; sly. Ok ok Pavlik, maybe not CRAFTy but, you know, you gotta admit he's pretty slick.
never liked Pavlick to begin with. Now I hope abraham ko's him. Hes just another built up fighter by Arum
Someone PLEASE get Kelly and Loew a ****ing dictionary, in every interview they start out with "I'm not making excuses, BUT..." then proceed to take all the credit away from Hopkins and start naming off excuse after excuse. He had bronchitis, Hopkins was too big, he had a bad elbow, whatever. Hell, make excuses if you must, just don't come out here and tell us you aren't going to do so beforehand. Pavlik was easily one of my favorite fighters going into this fight, but the way he and his team (and family) have reacted to their first loss is kind of souring me on the dude. He was breaking up and in tears with Merchant and in this interview, that doesn't happen when you just have an off night, that happens when you get your butt kicked.
"I have no excuses. I got my butt beat" noone heard that...if he is getting interviewed he has the right to explain why he looked lke a piece of **** in there....he should give bernard a bit more credit but he is obviously bewildered just after the fight
