168 seems to be the ideal step for him but is is heart gonna be in it anymore? Is he willing to take 2-3 low key fights before going after any of the bigger names/fights? Somebody mentioned Magee earlier on but I can't see Magee facing him anytime soon as he's fighting Paul Smith next I believe with the intention of getting a shot at Stieglitz's WBO strap. Taking a bit of a scan at boxrec and the 2 obvious fights for him are Bika and Andrade. Maybe someone like Mendy aswel?

I was willing to pay the half buck myself, but Kelly's purse is between the two of you. I could make the deal. Just like Ray Hogan's "guarantee" thread, it's easy when you know you'll never pay up.

I've stated to obvious before though. Boxing is about trainers getting a cut. I don't know of any that seem willing to work for a flat fee because they may have a fighter coming up against you at some point.

Just to :stir, I'd like to see him rematch Bhop next. Like I told you in another thread, I think he fought Martinez and Bhop in the wrong order, weight wise.

I thought lite-heavy is best for him. I just hope he can put behind his demons and have success again.

He worked hard to be in the right place at the right time for the MW championship. The future is much less clear. Even if he doesn't have the same success at the higher weights, at least fighting at a more natural weight will bring more excitement to his fights than his last days at MW.

Kelly needs to quit pulling a Ricky Hatton between fights IMO or his career will slide quickly.

It's been a while for me to respond because of all the idiots on here but I'll put in my two cents.
It's probly been overdue for this move but no time like the present. As Ray Mancini said his last few fights he battled the weight before his opponent. Mentally and physically, I can tell you, it took a significant toll on Kelly
Weather you think he wins or loses there are some very ineresting fights for KP at 168lbs. (I would like 168).

i hear what you are saying but its not like he's sitting he's getting fat he just puts his weight back on. he's a big kid who's grown out of a weight class and needs to move up. when he came into camp for martinez at 185 it was solid weight whereas ricky would be fat as ****.
