Easy pick for me..Taylor has fought for so long without ever getting the fundamentals boxing down...his fights since Hopkins have clearly illustrated this as he hasnt dominated a ONE of them this includes the 2 LMWs Spinks and Ouma..And now here we are..He's fighting a dangerous fighter that put him to sleep in his last fight and now Pavlik being fitter, stronger will do it sooner than before...Isn't it abit late for Taylor to grasp the fundamentals??

Simular result to last time. Taylor has a punchers chance as Pavlik isn't exactly will'o'the wisp, but I think he lacks the defensive skills to avoid Pavliks attacks.
Only two ways he can beat KP and thats either back him up or outmanouever him. Cant see Taylor doing either!

What do you think they each bring to the table?

Pavlik - POWER, Heart, Height, pshyolcogical edge.

Taylor - Jab, boxing ability, stentgh, new found determination. Skill.

what do you expect there strategy to be?

Pavlik - Keep Taylor at range, rough him up a bit, Jab then right hand over the top.

Taylor - Out box Pavlik, open up a little bit more than last fight, he knows he can hurt him.

    How could each win

    Pavlik - Landing Flush

Taylor - Out boxing Pavlik, Landing Flush

How do you think the fight will play out

Taylor out boxes Pavlik for 12 rounds. It could be a bit like Peter vs Wlad, with Taylor going down but continuing to out box Pavlik.

    what is your prediciton

    Taylor UD12

Taylor wins this fight - not sure by KO or UD - but he wins.

I picked KO on the poll.

I would really like to know how you think Taylor will win this one. Just a gut feeling you have or do your rationally back it up?

Both fighters have their mix of strengths and weaknesses. The huge difference is that Pavlik always maximizes his strengths. His last four opponents were favored to beat him and Pavlik KO'd them all. Taylor underperformed in most of his big fights, except Hopkins 1. Pavlik fought one bad round in his career, the 2nd against Taylor and then joked about it in his corner, came back and owned the 3rd round as if nothing ever happened. Taylor isn't anywhere near such composure and mental strength.

    Pavlik by TKO.

there's no way taylor can take pavliks punches for 12 rounds. pavlik wins by t/ko.

To beat Pavlik basically you either have to have a cast iron chin and be able to take his punches or hit him and not get hit back, wither through good defence or good offence.

Taylor cannot do any of the above and is going to get KTFO again. :good

What everyone seems to forget is Jermain had just as much trouble making weight, and that the extra 6 pounds will suit him better as well. Jermain was winning the fight, but he started to gas, which the extra weight may help. We know Pavlik can be hurt, even stopped seeing as he was done if Taylor had landed one more clean blow. Pavlik is what he is, a plodding, come forward power puncher. Taylor only needs a few minor adjustments and he should be able to get the ko or even a wide UD, he just needs to keep his hands up.

The problem is he never keeps his hands up. Hasnt done for his entire carrier, so he is going tvo get hit flush. **** himself and then get KTFO. Because he is limited as hell. :yep

And i was only saying that if he keeps them up, he'll have a better chance. I hope its as good as their last fight, and i feel like Taylor is gonna get the KO.:good
