Less than 2 months away now......good to see Pavlik back in a meaningful MW title fight :yep You can't deny Pavliks power at middleweight but I see Martinez beating him...Pavlik doesnt enjoy good lateral movement, but Martinez needs to fight smart and not trade with Pavlik...will be tough but he can pull it off

Pavlik will need a pre-Bhop performance, and I dont think its in him anymore.

Also this fight could have implications on Ryan Rhodes' world title ambitions....Martinez he isnt beating, but a vacant shot against JCC Jr. :yep I would love to see Ryan get rid of that bum.

Looking forward to this one :good

    I've got Martinez on points.

Pavlik's reign as Middleweight Ring champion has been a huge disapointment. His choice of opponents has been nothing short of a disgrace. I think it Martinez is 2-3 levels above anything Pavlik has been in against at 160 since Taylor and will finally end what could have been a great Middleweight Champion's grasp on the belt.

Martinez vs Williams II for The Ring Middleweight belt in December anyone?

This is a bad match up for Pavlik plus the blue print on how to beat him has already been laid. You stage counterclock wise from his power hand which is his right and he just walks into punches. Taylor did it first but didn't have the discipline nor stamina to finish the job. I'm sorry but a basic 1-2 is not beating this version Sergio. Not saying he's Sweet Pea but he's slick enough.

Pavlik's middleweight title reign has been the biggest let down.

He fights Gary Lockett, Marco Antonio Rubio and Miguel Angel Espino to defend his titles, and now he fights a Junior Middleweight coming off a loss

Martinez is the superior boxer, but Pavlik is a bully at that weight and will have all the size advantages. I like watching Martinez and hope he wins, but I can see a Pavlik TKO here.

I'd take Martinez by stoppage in this one.

Like Slip says, step away from the right hand and Pavlik simply walks onto everything. Hopkins treat him like a southpaw, leading with the right hand all night long.... Martinez will be harder to catch with that big right.

    Oops!

I've just realised that a fight between Williams and Martinez at 154 would be for the vacant Ring Title :patsch

Going for Martinez via wide decision, just think he's too clever and too slick for Pavlik.

    Hopefully Martinez wins anyway.

Let Pavlik fight bums and domestic level fighters for appropriate money without world titles being on the line.
