Jaco was scared out of his mind. Sweet counter left hook though.

Too bad KP didn't get more rounds in, but he definitely looks like he's headed in the right direction. Hope they match him with a more lively opponent next.

Ole Bob needs to look up that SP, Darrly Cunningham, and see if Pavlik fares better with him than Dre did. Surely, Pavlik got peanuts (50K:lol:) for this Jaco fight and he made an easy nights work of it. Why not take a couple more easy fights and then look for a bigger payday vs Ward, Bute, Steiglitz etc.

He should be looking to fight 4-5 of these type fights/yr. Not one and a title shot like he was looking for last summer.

If Teddy were to be training him he might say something to this effect......
"Hey kid, you wanna make $$$ in this sport. Think of your opponents like liquor. Guys like Gomez, Jaco and Cunningham are like lite beers. You gotta pound em, and by the dozen to get a good enough buzz to do lawn jobs through your subdivision on your 4 wheeler. And guys like Bute, Ward, Kessler and Froch, well, they're like Bombay London Dry, smoothe, and only a pint or so and your ready to swing from the chandelier of your local KofC Hall.":lol:

Here's hoping he takes this Atlasism to heart. Find a few Cunninghams and Jacos, be happy you can make 250K in a year crushing cans. Prove to himself that he can train and be sober for a yr and then make a comeback against a top 10. No sense rushing it like last time. I don't think any of us want to read a headline about him going caveman on a bar wench in Cali!:nono

Why does he need to fight a load of bums? If he wastes a year or 2 fighting cans that wont do anything for his career.

2-3 more fights against a rising standard of opposition & he'll be back in title contention.

Kelly looked sharp last night, I'm glad he's living the life these days & wish him well in his comeback, I cant see him beating Ward/Dirrell/Bute though

He needs to comeback slowly. A year and 5 fights aint a waste of nothing. It'll keep him busy, and the smaller $$$ should keep him grounded and humble.

You can't see him beating those guys. But I think it's fair to say that MANY think he can. And if he can't he could surely be competitive in the right frame of mind against any of em.

I agree that he should steadily increase his LOC. But he's already in title contention. He really don't need to prove he can beat guys in the top 20. Most know he is a potential top 5.....he needs to prove he can handle his affairs.

Nice. Lead rights, check counter left hooks? Haven't seen KP this fast or crafty since... ever! Had alil bounce on his toes and some upper movement with good defense too. Very good timing. Used to seeing Pavlik fighting big using his size, but in here he was fighting small and looks great doing it. If he stays sharp like this I'd say he is a real threat to anyone at 160. Would love a Pavlik-Lee fight tho. Winner should face Maravilla-Chavez Jr winner.
