Kelly Pavlik vs Andre Dirrell should happen

Ill take pavlik in this fight purely because he is mentally stronger.

i want to see pavlik win and he would have a better chance against froch then dirrell. hopefully kelly can get a decent win against a top 10 guy and then froch might face him after his 2nd fight with bute.

 

Good fight. The winner fo this should get a shot at one of the titles. I think Pavlik's chances are better than what this thread suggest. Kelly is way tougher and at least he has some heart and balls. :hat

He's got all the tools less the most important tool......confidence he can take a shot.

Dirrel don't get hit cleanly bc he's a defensive wiz, but at some point he's either got to get the confidence or quit. PERIOD.

One thing Pavlik has over Dirrel is heart. Pavlik aint afraid of any exchange and is confident he can take the punches necessary to impose his fight. Dirrel simply refuses to exchange, no matter how low the opponents level may be.

Pavlik also is a better boxer than Froch or Abraham and his power is close to theirs overall. I give them both an edge in chin, but Pavliks defense is better than Froch's and his defense aint like Abes where he has to reset after parrying a shot.

For 4 rds Dre schooled Abe, but when Abe got up......Dirrel got on his bike. Dirrel also spent 12 rds running from Froch.
I just don't think Dre has it mentally to beat a guy who's well rounded like Pavlik and I think Dre would be afraid to fight a plodder like Abe again and that's why he ducked Stevenson.

Hell, I don't think Dre would even fight George or ERod he's that afraid of exchanging.

What a sad waste of talent that is Andre Dirrel.:-(

Kelly looks shot to me honestly. Even before though I think Dirrell would have given him problems. I don't know why people are so sure Andre would Ko kelly though.

 

Why are people so quick to say someone doesn't have heart? or are mentally weak?


That's just ridiculous. Dirrell is not a slugger, which does not mean he is a coward. He just does not prefer to fight on the inside.


There is nothing about Pavlik that suggests he would (a) take this fight, and (b) have any success.

 

Dirrell is the worst possible choice for Pavlik. Stylistically he has a better chance of beating Abraham, Froch, and Kessler than he does beating Dirrell. All wrong for him.

Plus Pavlik is the ticket seller and doesn't need a fight with someone like Dirrell.

 

An why wouldnt Kelly take this fight? As if he would be a afraid of Dirrell lol...
