@162lbs , hear me out , Margarito coming off a beating by pac , is not gonna want to fight a speedster again ,its a bad style match up , he needs someone who will stand in front of him and fight , margarito came in at 165 i believe , so obviously he cut alot of weight , he could easily muscle up to 168 or so, kelly needs a credible opponent , someone who poses a challenge at least on paper , he also does not match up well with mobile fighters , ala sergio martinez , kelly also shines with plodding fighters , both men need a big fight where they can do what they do best and let some fireworks go , this fight would sell big, margarito is still a hero to mexicans , and kelly also has his base as well , both guys have big hearts , thoughts?
Pavlik when pushed back he falls apart, and he has ZERO inside game. Hopkins proved this and Taylor did as well in their rematch every time Taylor was on the inside and worked Pavlik didnt seem to know what to do. War I cant really pick a winner but I say Tony simply cus Tony if anything fights everybody.
Nobody has ever pushed Pavlik back though, and I am sure a MUCH smaller and weaker/powerful Margarito is not going to do that.
Um kelley is the much bigger guy, they are both brawlers, kelly would get the best of him. Yeah so what if Margo weighed 165, Kelly cant even make 160 anymore. So what has he been on fight night, 175-180?
I think Pavlik wins it with his jab and his power. It would be an amazing fight though between two fighters with iron chins.
Its bazooka, he cant admit margo gets schooled no matter how obvious it is. Its not even a bad thing to admit, pavlik is simply much bigger. But you know those mexicans, Margo is like god.
Pavlik stops him. Better jab, taller, longer reach, more power. No brawlers beat Pavlik, especially smaller ones.
another reason to pick Pavlik is that against Margo would probably be the only time in his career that Pavlik would have the speed advantage.
I don't think this would be a good fight even on paper. Pavlik would cruise against Margarito. Margarito's best days were at 147, he was a decent-to-good fighter at 154 but at 160, or 162 as you set the weight, he wouldn't have some of the big advantages he enjoyed at 147. This would be a good look-good fight for Pavlik, nothing more.
:yuck No way, but it might be an entertaining fight either way. Of course Pavlik is too big too strong for Margo, but both are late starters and Margo should have some moments. I think Pavlik TKO 7. But I think it will never happen.
