Kelly Pavlik vs Antonio Margarito

Kelly did get his ass beat by Sergio Martinez. Margarito did whoop Sergio Martinez' ass 10 years again to a TKO victory.

However, that doesn't really apply in this scenario. Why? Kelly Pavlik hasn't lost to a fighter who will stand right in front of him. That style of fighter suits Kelly better and it makes everything simpler for him. It also allows him to utilize all of his physical advantages (he'd weight a lot more than Margarito on fight night), he'd have big reach and height advantages. To me, it seems like a pretty simple fight, if two fighter choose to go head on, neglect defense and movement and just slug it out, typically the stronger guy will win and that's Pavlik.

This also doesn't take into account that Margarito has taken even worse beatings in 2 of his last 3 fights than Pavlik has.

 

Pavlik has a tough fight with a bum in his last fight.

Marg has a chance.

This works into Pavliks hands. This is how he does well when a guy fights with him.

For what its worth, I think Margarito simply outworks him down the stretch. Would be an utter war though!

 

Pavlik would completely obliterate Margarito. Pavlik is in a different league when it comes to power compared to Pac, and he is naturally much much bigger.

He'd look like a sniper here. Pavlik in 6 or less.

They are both slow, both one dimensional, both get hit a lot but have decent chins.

pavlik is bigger and has a longer reach.

Cotto beat Mosley, Marg proceeded to KO Cotto and we all know what happened next.

 

Margarito would make Pavlik look like Pernell Whitaker.

 

Kelly UD but wouldn't be suprised one bit if Tony won.

 

I thought this was abit of a joke/fantasy fight at first then thought about it and realised what a great fight it is
