He didnt even beat Miranda, people get a grip. Pavlik would stop him in 3. Kellys faster and hits harder than Miranda, not to mention has way better boxing skills.

 

Pavlik would weather the storm in the middle fight and win by late TKO.

 

Pavlik by late stoppage. AA has bad stamina and for about 2:30 minute of every round he only defends. That would be great fight :yep

 

Have you guys seen Arthur Abrahams past fights? Pavlik would dismantle him, Abraham is just not active enough. Pavlik's 80-100 punches per round would murder him.

 

Abraham is tailor made for Pavlik. There is a great deal of truth to the old adage; "styles make fights," and style wise Pavlik is Abraham's nightmare; quite possibly the worst nightmare he'll ever have.

Abraham is 5'10" and looks like with a good nutritionist and less weight training he could easily make 154. Pavlik is over 6'2" and basically a LHW who somehow manages to sweat down to 160.

Abraham generally only works for about 30-45 seconds of each round. Pavlik works every second of every round. He often throws 80-100 punches per round, and a 50% connect rate is not uncommon.

A lot of people describe Pavlik as a "boxer-puncher." some of his critics use terms like "raw-slugger" or "crude-slugger." I think that the best and most fitting label is STALKER! In most fights Kelly's game plan revolves around his ability to create a situation that allows him to turn the ring into a phone booth by trapping his opponents in a corner or along the ropes. Abraham spends a shitload of time fighting out of the corners and off the ropes. In other words; Abraham would volunteer to get in Kelly's phone booth, and when he does, HE'S DEAD MEAT!:deal

Arbaham has terrific power, but Pavlik ate Miranda's rights and uppercuts like they were M&Ms. Arthur does not hit harder than Edison. Abraham is a gutsy guy with a great heart, so were Kelly's last 6 opponents, and they all got Pavlikated; only one saw the 9th round.

I was sorry to hear that Oral had to pull out of the eliminator with Zuniga. I think Zuniga would have won that, and then beat Abraham. Zuniga gave Kelly his toughest fight to date, and I would love to see a rematch. I think that would be a much better fight than Pavlik/Abraham.

As I said to many for a long time, Abraham is the real deal. Power of Miranda, heart of Pavlik, chin of Hopkins, defense of Wright and accuracy of Kessler. He's the complete package and the only factor in the Pavlik fight what would make that contest VERY CLOSE is Artur's workrate compared to Kelly's. Abraham's workrate is a little bit poor and Pavlik would not only jump on him but would throw a lot of his underrated jab followed by combinations.

I see Abraham landing the more meaningful shots as well as most of the jabs and block many of Kelly's punches but Pavlik throws so much that the final numbers will show a slight edge in connect for Kelly with a poor percentage.

Two things made the Abraham-Miranda fight a close one (but not a controversial): Arthur's terribly broken jaw and his average workrate. Not a good thing against Pavlik but the rest of his arsenal is the COMPLETE NIHGTMARE for Pavlik.



Two very good fighters. It would be a brutal contest.

1-Punch-Power:

Abraham > Pavlik by a mile...Pavlik is an accumulative puncher whereas Abraham usually do it with just one punch.

Though I see Pavlik winning via decision due to Abraham's inactivity. Pavlik won't KO Abraham as he has a nearly rock solid chin (he shook of the uppercut he received by the hands of Eastman easily)...so it's either Pavlik dec Abraham or AbrahamKO Pavlik...

 

Any real expert would tell you that Abraham has more of real 1-punch-power than Miranda and Pavlik at 160...

 

Not much difference here... while Abraham is not hitting necessarely harder, but he is quicker and more accurate so the damage of his punches are as god as Miranda's or Pavlik's. He just doesn't rely on it altough he should a little bit more.

 

Abraham showed he has heart in the Miranda fight, His jaw was grotesque at the end of that fight. However - his straight forward power-punching style seems to be a perfect match for Pavlik's stalking style. I see Pavlik stopping Abraham. Pavlik's punches can dent anyone in the middleweight division.

 

WTF?!

Abraham is one of the hardest guys to hit cleanly. Hands up above his head ala Winky Wright for 2 minutes of every round, that steals it in the last minute.

He is a lot shorter than Pavlik - 5'10" V 6'2" - but he's also much wider framed and probably stronger. Good fight I'd pick AA UD12

Laugh all you want but anyone who is unbiased (that's too much to ask, I know) and has seen enough of both guys knows that Abraham has obviously more one punch power than Pavlik. The reason for him having a worse KO ratio than Pavlik is his shitty often non-existant workrate which is in stark contrast to Pavlik who wears people down.
