He has a weak body as Calzaghe proved. I think pavlik has enough pop to put the old man down. I dont think hopkins has the same chin he use to.. And kellys strong jab in the face all night is going to frustrate him big time. Taylor had a hard time countering it and i think hopkins is going to have a even harder time cause he is just waiting with an over hand right.

idk man, Hopkins always finds some kind of way to make himself competitive in fights. An nd unlike Calzaghe, Pavlik is not gonna overwhelm him with speed and throwing 1000punches per round. Granted Pavlik is pretty active in rounds, but its not calzaghe active and he doesnt have calzaghe speed. Kelly isnt a combination puncher either, so i think all those things can play into bhops favor, he can stay close, tie up, rough house pavlik, try to do all the lil things 2 take him out his game, and pick his shots to a UD. Bhop is a master at that man. IDK hope its a good fight

Yes -- He fought at 170 one time, but it was Eric Olds. Not exactly a stellar figure in the boxing world. All totaled Kelly has fought at or above the SMW limit 5 times. Every fight ended in a quick KO, but they were all tomato cans.

Pavlik will be the first man to stop Hopkins

Nope -- won't happen. Joe scores a relatively easy UD over Jones. Kelly stops Hopkins late. Joe never mentions Pavlik's name again.

Wrong -- Pavlik has fought everywhere from welterweight to 170, and all points in between.

pavlik by decision or maybe a KO. hopkins can't fight this young bomber who would outwork him just like what taylor did. this time with bigger punches.

how did this happen? if Pav was that eager to move up to 170 how did a fight w/ Joe not happen? How did a fight w/ Kessler not happen? Instead he's fighting a guy who just came off a loss, that has no belts, thats about to retire, and that he may not beat. Why is he the one moving up? Why isnt Hopkins moving down? Pav is the champ right? This is bad handling of a promising fighter. Hopkins has a good shot...not to ruin Pav's career of course...but at least his immediate future

This'll be a good fight, both fighters could possibly win. Kelly is sloppier than Joe and worse defensively, however he is far more comfortable fighting off the frontfoot (unlike Calzaghe who likes to counter). I can definately see Kelly getting dropped by a big right hand while he's off balance, although I don't see a stoppage either way. Bernard will want to catch Kelly with right hand counters and then smother Pavlik, much like he did with Joe. His high workrate could give him the advantage at midrange much like Joe, as long as he doesn't let Hopkins dictate the pace. We can't discount what the effects if gaining 10lbs will do aswell, as it could definately impact on his effectiveness. Pavlik has also never been in the ring with a defensive wizard, it'll be interesting to see how many punches he lands against such a ring-smart fighter. Hopkins holds the styles advantage, however Kelly's youth and workrate could give him the win, I'm not sure who'll win yet. Either way, Pavlik is going to look like ****.

 @ people thinking the stationary Pavlik is going to KO Bernard Hopkins....yeah ok..just like the BIG LHW Tarver did?:good

B Hop is gonna box circles around Pavlik and smother Pavliks punches.

No way B hop gets KO'ed let alone loses to Pavlik...even @ 43

Pavlik by a pretty wide margin.
