Fair do's. As I said elsewhere in the thread I consider my conclusions provisional pending seeing more of Froch against decent opposition and more of Pavlik at higher than MW.

    Fair post.

Although Froch and Miranda have very different physiques, I think they also have a lot in common. Obviously Froch has a much better jab than EM, but both are sloppy, little technic, heavy reliance on power and brute strength, heavy handed, but almost no defense.

This is a style that suits Kelly perfectly. He wants to go to war, but not on the inside. He wants to control the distance with the jab and get the other guy to back up. I've seen nothing from Froch that says he can counter punch off the back foot. I haven't seen anything from him that says Kelly can't back him up either.

I see this fight being very similar to the Miranda fight. Froch's power, in my opinion, is over rated. Pittman hurt Pascal, and Froch hammered him, but couldn't take him out. In my mind that means Kelly can eat that right hand all night and never blink, just like with EM. Pavlik keeps Froch on the back foot and gradually breaks him down winning a wide UD or getting a late TKO.

It's a fun fight to think about, but I doubt if we'll ever see it. I think KP learned his lesson about division hopping and chasing the big fights. I'm pretty sure he'll be at 160 until the end of 2010.
