In regards to this question. If, and thats one enormous if, PBF were to beat the undisputed middleweight champion, he would be the first fighter ever to win titles from 130-160. Throw in the fact that it would be the first fighter to win the linear titles at 135, 147 and 160 since SRR and you have a serious case to call him at least top 20 all time.
No not at all. If he were to beat Kelly at 160 lbs, (which is 20 pounds more then Floyds best fighting weight at this point in his career) they would say that Floyd beat an overrated puncher who was exposed by Hopkins and was never a top level fighter. If he lost to Kelly then they would say - Kelly KO'd one of the best in the world who was 3 to 4 weight classes above his prime and was 6 inches shorter with less then half his punching power = No big deal. Either way it would be a dumb fight, hell I thought it was dumb when Floyd fought Oscar at 150 lbs. Floyd should go no higher then 147 lbs. Probably should go back down to 140 before he gets KO'd.
Floyd won't fight no one in the WW right now. Everyone in that division right now has more power and are naturally bigger than him. He will probably feast on a smaller guy like he did Hatton. He will fight the winner of the Marquez-Diaz fight LOL!!!!!!!!! That is more up his alley.
could the people who voted PBF please explain why...... and when they are due to return to 'hospital'
I've said this before a long time ago (before he lost to Hopkins even), but Floyd would dismantle Pavlik. Kelly just wouldn't be able to deal with his speed and lateral movement.
