:goodthumbsup My first thoughts also. Pavlik is becoming more of a joke. Why doesn't he just try to get a fight with sturm or move up. I think he avoids moving up because he knows the type of ass whippins waiting for him at 168

as much as i want to see kelly get back in the ring w/ a quality guy, it won't happen this fight. he and his team are quoted as saying more or less that this is a fight to determine if he can go lower and still make 160 and be a stay busy fight at the same time. he said he wants a title shot afterwards once they determine what weight he can fight at.

on top of that, kelly has guarantees in his TR contract that would preclude anyone worth much taking the fight on kinda short notice for not that much money considering what kelly is guaranteed and what pac and margo are going to make. not enough to go around.

I'd still rather see David Lopez, but David really has no reason to take the fight on short notice for small money.

Giovanni Lorenzo more or less deserves an ass whooppin'. He spent years accusing Pavlik, Abraham, and Sturm of ducking him. Arthur never got the chance to whip his ass because Lorenzo lost the title eliminator to Raul Marquez. Felix just got done beating up Lorenzo. Now it's Kelly's turn!
