If young Andy wanted a Pavlik fight, he shouldn't have screwed himself out of one by letting Brain Vera beat his ass.

 

At least is better than that bum Edouard.

 

Isn't Lee fighting Duddy anyway?

Anyway,much better fight than Edouard although I was kinda hoping for a Pavlik vs Stieglitz or Andrade match.

 

What's in the past is in the past. Pavlik is no longer champion, he is in no position to call the shots anymore. In fact, Lee doesn't have much to gain in fighting Pavlik, at this point he is high risk/low reward.

 

Lorenzo is a pretty good name for a tune-up, hope it happens. Don't expect anything better.

 

If lee gets the call for this fight he should take it. He can beat him and a win here gets him a shot at martinez vs williams winner for the world title he wants.
He needs a win and to take a risk or martinez or hbo wont look at him.

 

Lorenzo's loss to Raul Marquez was a case of putting a young guy who wasn't ready in with a cagey veteran who was very ready. Lorenzo had fought a long string of no-hopers. Marquez was coming off a very good fight with McKart (Marquez/McKart is on You Tube. Under rated performance by both guys.)

Lest we forget, Sturm catches a lot of flack on ESB, but the man is a 3 time world titlist, and has had a world title in his possession for most of the past 7 years. Felix is a much better fighter than he generally gets credit for.

I do not know anything about the Sylvester/Lorenzo fight.

 

lorenzo fought dirty as all hell in that fight. whatever the reason, i'm glad he lost and it won't bother me to see kelly's reaction when he tries to do that with him :deal

Look at martinez, he has 2 losses on his record and he's the man in the division...

 

Pavlik fighting Lorenzo is at least Pavlik fighting a top 10 middleweight contender (as of a month ago, before the Sturm fight), whereas the main event of the PPV he will be on will be a much less competitive and deserving fight.

 

Left hook on the chin followed by a nicely placed elbow. KP does that rather well.

 

Alexis Arguello a great got sparked cold a few times before getting to the top.

 

Yer but Andy Lee just isn't that good. Very overrated, like almost every Irish fighter.

As for this fight, couldn't care less. Two non-entities.

The middleweight division is Martinez, Pirog and the youth coming up.
