Who do you think wins this fight? I'd think pavlik would were out lamotta who was easier to hit than Taylor. I'd pick Pavlik by tko in 10.

Ok, I got the sarcasm. BTW, little Ray Robison stopped lamotta as well. Pavlik hits harder than Robinson.

    Does he?

His KO over the iron chinned Gary Lockett proves this does it?

No, his Ko over the durable Jermaine Taylor and strong Edison Miranda does. I never said Pavlik is a better boxer than Robinson, I said he hits harder. That's just common sense.

    How is that common sense?

Taylor has yet to show he is durable, he got badly rocked by Hopkins and seems to tense up anytime he is hit with a clean shot. Even Winky busted him up and he hardly fought a puncher till Pavlik.

    And Miranda..please..that guy is trash.

Pavlik hasnt ko'ed great fighters with one punch like Gene Fulmer. In fact I can hardly recall a one punch ko from Pavlik. Guys like Olsen, Turpin and Graziano **** over anything on Kelly's resume, and SRR smoked them all. Robinson was the first person to legitimately stop Lamotta in 95 fights.

Bigger doesnt always mean better mate. Robinson had over 100 kos, that is excellent power.

Jermaine took Hopkins best and winky never hurt him once in the fight. He definetly has a good cin and if Pavlik's power wasn't relevent, than he wouldn't of had a 90% KO ratio, that's counts for something. Look Ray Robison was great but HE DOES NOT HIT HARDER THAN PAVLIK. Don't let the Hopkins fight fool you, who not only is the best defesive fighters in history but has a cast iron jaw.

And I know robinson couldn't flip 600Ib. tires, Pavlik has tremedous strength for his size.

Robinson KO'd one of the most durable MW's of all time with one shot, Pavlik has yet to prove his power above that of someone like Hagler or Monzon, he's just so much less skilled in every other aspect that his power looks better in comparison.

You may think for yourself, but that doesn't mean a whole lot when your knowledge of the fighters in question is about as extensive as that of my dog's knowledge of quantum physics.

And look where thats getting you.

Please...dont try and conceal your lack of knowledge of past fighters by saying we worship them, I can see through that so dont even bother.

Actually, LaMotta was a better defensive fighter than Taylor, and not by a little either. Sure, he took some licks when he needed too, but he knew he had the chin to take it and was willing to pay the price of getting hit in return so that he could inside on his man and get his own pound of flesh in.

Jake himself said that you can`t go around relying on your chin alone, you need to learn how to slip and roll with punches to minimize their impact and he did this very, very well if one watches the available footage of him closely.

Besides, Pavlik is slow as molasses and Jake won`t have a hard time seeing the incoming and avoiding it. He`ll definately get hit mind you, but only because he will be willing to eat some leather in order to land his own. Pavlik gets taken into deep waters and drowned imo, but it would be fun while it lasted.
