I know Duddy had to change his style somewhat due to him sustaining too much punishment previously to last night, and i was impressed with the new John Duddy for nine round's. But based on last night he isn't going to beat Pavlik and should really go down to 154.

He's not exactly a big Middleweight so i don't see making weight being a problem but he'd have more pop at 154 and with his new found boxing ability and Patience he could have a better chance of winning a Title. I Like Duddy and he's been through **** with Irish Ropes so i really hope he can go all the way and be a World Champion.

Duddy's defence is too poor. Pavlik would just jab from range, back him up like he always has. He did it last night, he did it against JT, he did it against Miranda: against everyone except B-Hop, backing them up with the jab works.

In that tenth round, Duddy was getting hit at will by Vanda. His defence is pretty poor. It wouldn't take long for Pavlik to start cracking those right hands down the pipe, and Duddy would be in trouble.

I dont think Duddy has anything to bother Pavlick with.It would be a fairly easy night for Pavlick.

I agree and so does Pat Burns - he still wants Duddy to drop to 154.An improved performance still doesn't put him near Pavliks level. If he can keep progressing i definitely think he can make some noise at light middle but money talks and Arum appears to be the one pushing for Pavlik/Duddy

Duddy ain't likely to face Pavlik next...expect another showcase this summer and then maybe this fight comes down in autumn '09...

As much as I like Duddy, Pavlik would destroy him. Pavlik may have been way over his head against Hopkins, but at 160, there aint that many men who can bull him around for too long.

Pavlik KO 6 and Duddy only makes it that far because i'm guessing he'd fight smart against a much bigger puncher...if he gets too brave early it will end early...

quite harsh, any reason for not rating Duddy AT ALL? Duddy would be tougher test than some people predict

Duddy would have a small chance of hurting Pavlik assuming he's allowed to bring a baseball into the ring.

Pavlik around 8 ish on cuts.
