Ehhhhh..... Wake me up when something is signed. Staying at 160 AND being able to compete will take some hefty effort. Best if he can, but.... tough to go down in weight with that frame. Like I said, at this point he will have to prove he can do it. I thought Roach signed off on this already? Thought it was his and Arum's idea? Not that I expect transparency I guess, but still....

I read an inteview with Roach right about the time these rumours started, and that interview did not jive with the rumours at all.

The draw always happens when you least suspect it.

Withdraw in this case. Seems Roach has changed his mind about putting Jr. in with Pav.....

Maybe the nutritionist thing scared him..... :lol

It's a good fight for Pavlik to get his confidence back. He's going to destroy Chavez and look good doing it.

I just hope Arum isn't greedy enough to make this a PPV.

Seems it is already an 'undone' deal. Not happening. Roach decided he ****ed up in OK'ing the fight. When he heard Kelly would get a nutritionist to get down to 160 he knew he wasn't going to be the same Kelly he saw in the Martinez fight and backed off I guess..... Just my guess.....

    Pavlik-Lemieux anyone?

I know Lemieux is far from being ready but just imagine the slugfest. It would be entertaining while it last. :D

I don't think Pavlik knows what he is going to do at this point. I don't know what the truth of the situation is with regards to Chavez. My "sources" tell me the leaks were correct. Arum/Roach thought Kelly was shot. Kelly claims he asked for the fight. Who knows? Personally, I'd have to think Arum promised some damned big dollars to get him to even think about staying at 160. Or he just realized that would be his best bet long term and decided to bite the bullet?

Pain is a strange thing. I remember two a day football practices in the summer. I'd literally sweat off 7 pounds in the morning session. As I walked home in the sweltering summer heat, every day I promised myself I wasn't going back for the afternoon session. Every afternoon I found myself walking the three miles back....... So maybe Kelly is far enough removed from his last fight that he is forgetting what he went through to make weigh last time?
