kelly pavlik vs. lucian bute april in canada

    i heard this earlier today but havent seen a thread. has any one else heard it. well what i heard was lucian bute has a april date with hbo and an opponett unknown but thier promotors said their going after pavlik or the winner of miranda vs stieglits, is their any truth to this. also the fight is to take place in canada. i hope pavlik doesnt leave the country and go up in weight i think that spells disaster.

    the Pavlik fight is not happening at all. Bute is pretty much confirmed for april though.

    Miranda or Green probably. Miranda has some history in montreal cause of his beef with Pascal so that could make good $

    Williams first, Sturm second is the Pavlik agenda. But like I said in an earlier post, Arum always seems to pull someone that hasn't been talked about out at the last minute. Arum REALLY wants Williams though. I think it is personal.

    Pavlik look like he prefer to stay at 160lbs , as for Miranda he need to win firs!

    Bute -Pavlik in 2011? maybe!

    Williams is priority number one, but let's face it, Williams got jacked up in his last fight and needs some time to recover. Also, Arum is offering the same terms as last time. Kelly is the belt holder but Goosen is claiming he won't do if for anything less than a 50/50 split and it be a co-promotion. That of course is bull **** and disrespectful to the titles and title holder. Same as saying "We learned our lesson with Martinez".

    Agreed, he needs to stay away from 168, and especially a skilled boxer like, Lucian.

    Much more interesting matchup than Williams in which I think Kelly will win quite easily

    The only way I see this happening is if Williams and Sturm can't be made. But even then, April really isn't enough time for Kelly to properly move up in weight. They claimed the weight hopping was done after Hopkins.

    Yeah I also think Pavlik is too small to move up. What is his weight on fight night? 170?

    I think Bernard was like 6 or 7 lbs above him, in the ring, when they fought.
