kelly pavlik vs. lucian bute april in canada

I think HBO will need more than Bute-Miranda to rival with the Super 6 doubleheader on Showtime on April 17 (HBO's desired date). Andrade-Bika and Bute-Green would be great.

 

Sadly BHop just seems to be trying to get some quick paper and then call it day.

thats the only reason he is still lurking around, he dont seem too concerned with legacy since it is already solidified. I don't think he will fight Bute, he is after the green paper

 

I've heard different figures but I think he walks around at 175 or so. He would have to add another 5 pounds of muscle. Anymore and it is going to be the same story making weight as now.

 

More like 10. Prefight Kelly was weighed while he was dressed. Because of his bronchitis he didn't put on any weight after the official weigh in.

 

If they do this in Montreal, I'll be there.

 

i'm in agreement w/ boo about the date and herm about the order...if kelly can take care of business which i know he can and by that i mean beating williams and sturm and possibly a third fighter, this will set up a pav/bute fight in 2011 w/ the winner to fight the super six winner.

in a perfect world...pav and aa would meet as a result of everything (actually thats just my dream ending for it all). landshark may have a heart attack if it works out like that but i've assured him i'll be on the stretcher next to him if it happens like that.

well if you think about it...this would give bute an opportunity to beat the other smw's that arent in the tourney that arguably should be. this could create some real heat behind a pav/bute fight which would in turn make the winner of this fighting the winner of the S6 even bigger.

I said for the last year at MW that fight had already lost its luster because of AA's shape at MW. People didn't want to hear that, but it was true. They seemed to think a shot at Kelly would suddenly make him stronger while weight drained.

 

By the way, what do you boys think of the song "Youngstown" that Bruce Springsteen sings?

 

I think I vaguely remember it. I don't follow music much now that I'm older. Just don't have the time/desire I guess.
