i was going to say a sarcastic snide comment but might aswell nip it in the bud. hagler at 5'9 was still not a small middleweight. he was a tank could of easily gone and been successful at 168 and maybe 174 like he did in his amatuers days. his long reach made him able to box move on the outside and shorter stature also made him effective inside. granite granite granite chin. great workrate throughout his career. not a massive one shot hitter but could lay you out badly. his right jab has got guys going and his left cross was sneaky and unpredictable. was world class at boxing and brawling. had technical skills, agility and handspeed is on his side. to top it off a southpaw pavlik is 6'2....thats his only advantage and im not being condiscending but thats the only thing he has over him. he is too gangly and limp when he throws. his style of winning is backing guys up and landing to the body. there is nothing he could of done too a) back him up and keep going to the body. maybe his reach is longer but he doesnt use it that well, his jab isnt that good especially compared to hagler. too boo. mugabi was a tough ****er and i would lay some money on him to of beaten pavlik in his prime. also hagler broke him down and even though got in a dog fight he was ahead and boxed mugabi when he was trying to break out of a deadlock. you could argue that mugabi was finished competativly after that fight....something pavlik would never of done vito could also of swarmed pavlik. and in that hagler was robbed pavlik isnt a poor fighter. just decent and contender in most eras. not a top 50 160 fighter ever though. double posting about the size This content is protected This content is protected hagler is about nose hieght "WAAAAAAAH TOO BIG FOR HIM" thread/
this is true. a few Pavlickers considered Pav to be one of the ATGs at 160 before his embarrassing defeat to a 147lber.
Dumb ass thread. Kelly can't fight inside and hagler fights tremendously inside. Kelly would not be able to keep marvin from getting there and busting pavlik up from head to waist
