Kelly Pavlik vs Mikkel Kessler who wins?

This would be a helluva fight.. I would lean towards Kessler in this match-up, but I feel there is a possibility Pavlik could win this one as well.. Pavlik needs to fight Abraham first though damn it and let Kessler fight Miranda.. If Pavlik wins as well as Kessler, then they should sign for a fight.. I mean Pavlik has beaten Miranda who is now a SMW and has unbelievable power, so seeing how Kessler can dispose of Miranda would be sightful..

 

At least a 95/5 type of fight favoring Kessler. I think he would stop Kelly faster than Calzaghe would too.. almost no way Pavlik makes the distance here.

 

Mikkel Kessler on points. I like both guys, both very good, very likeable, so no emotions here... but hell... Kessler is a big SMW, very strong, very accurate, very skilled with tight defense (yeah, the top p4p hurt him once and hit him a few dozen times - and what?), great counterpunching, boxing and even brawling abilities (vs. Joe) - so I have to go with Mikkel on points... and I'm VERY confident in my prediction...

 

Big talk from someone who ducked Miranda. Gues he wants to get paid maybe? But still, this would be good to see. I like Kessler. He's strong and very technically sound, if not a little predictable. 50-50 fight right now.

Pavlik's power will force Kessler into a shell. And Pavlik's determination will seal the deal. Pavlik UD simply because Kessler won't take chances and won't be close enough to get the counter off.

I'd LOVE to hear Kelly say, "He needs to beat Miranda to earn a shot at me." :rofl

 

Mikkel Kessler looked so powerful in the ring with Joe Calzaghe, and his boxing skills are underrated. His uppercut is beautiful and he's got a powerful right hand that will hurt the majority of SMW's.

Kelly Pavlik has the advantage in power and has proven thus far to have a pretty good chin, but I can see him systematically being broken down here. Kessler looked great at times vs Joe when he was countering him, and Joe wasn't coming at him half as much as Kelly will be, so he should be countering all night long. Pavlik has a lot of things in his favor, but his defence isn't one of them.

If Kessler puts on the type of clinic that he put on against Andrade, then he's stopping Pavlik in under 10 rounds. Kessler was a beast in that fight, just look at the punch stats to that fight, their insane!!

 

They have both A1 jabs. It should be an interresting match-up. Really hard to predict.
