I want to see Pavlik fight Winky Wright.

I always felt Wright was the legit Middleweight champion after the controversial draw with Taylor.

As I said Pavlik wins by accumulation. He never yet had to KO his opponent, right. I think he will have to this time.
He could stay behind hes jab all night long, but if Kessler is picking a fairer share of the shots, whats the point in keep doing it?

Pavliks got both heart and beard he would try to take the har route if forced to.

All boxers get hit, Kessler gets hitten but not a lot, Calzaghe managed to really annoy him with his jab. Besides that he has been targeted impressively little. As I said before I just dont see Pavlik winning this jab-contest.

Yes if it was a trading-brawl, give and take equally I could, as you suggest see Pavlik winning, but what does that prove?

Calzaghe would lose such a contest to lockett!

It says something about his chin that he doesn't seem to feel them or count them as landed.

I'd say the fact he's been knocked down by middleweights tells us more about his chin: not bad at middleweight, but probably not top-drawer at super-middleweight. Still, I think Pavlik has the heart and the (gasp!) skills to go the distance with Kessler.

His chin allows him to wade into deep water to bring the fight to the other guy. He clowned Taylor and got caught with multiple clean shots. Not a mistake he is likely to make again. Balance was at least one other 'knockdown'. He brushed a glove on the canvas. Zuniga sent him flying but he was right back up.

Question his chin when he stops getting back up.:good

Possibly. If he goes on to have Calzaghe-like reign at the top, I think it will vindicate his chin. Calzaghe's chin was questioned at times as well, but you can't argue with consistency. Were Pavlik to fight Kessler and not get knocked down (win or lose) it would do a lot to add credit to his chin.

What we do know is that Pavlik has a lot of heart, which can substitute for chin; see Benn, Nigel. What I think is interesting is that Pavlik gets a lot of passes where any European boxer would get a lot of criticism.

He doesn't get any passes on this board. I fully support the concept of rooting for the home boy, but I don't get the crap that flies around here based on country, continent, etc.....

I just wanna point out a couple things people said.

    1. PAVLIK IS NOT OVERRATED!!! r u kidding me?
    2. pav is not faster then kess, but i think he has a very fast 1-2.
    3. Pavlik doesnt have a decent chin, He has a GREAT CHIN!
    4. Pavlik hits harder for sure, and stuns alot of fighters, thats how he wins
    5. HEART of a lion., will never give up
    6. underrated defense, but he does get hit moire than he should
    7. Pavlik Walks around at 175, i think fighting at 166-168 would be good for him.

I think it would be a better fight than cal. Pavlik is a pure brawler and if they stood toe to toe and traded punches, kess would go down first. it would go into the late rounds, but i take pav by tko.

tough call, I think Kessler has the faster hands but Pavlik has better power.

If Pavlik fights either Kessler or Calzaghe we will find out just how much pop he has, I think he has a ton.

    Pavlik stops him in 10

Come on! Can you imagine if a European champion at that level had been nearly knocked out by Taylor? He'd be accused of having a china chin. Also, his opposition would be MUCH more criticised.

He's proclaimed as the next big thing and his biggest wins are against someone who should have had a 23-4 record going into their fight.

A great chin is someone like Hagler, Chuvalo, McCall or Toney. These are guys who it was nearly physically impossible to score a clean knockdown against. Pavlik can be knocked down by guys who aren't huge punchers. Does Pavlik have a bad chin? Not at all. That doesn't mean he has a great chin.

Possibly, but it's questionable whether he will carry that power up.

Unlikely. Why would Kessler do such a thing?

Pavlik would do what he always does walk Kessler down and eventually stop him. once Kessler tasted Pavlik's power he'd be on the backpedal for the rest of the fight.
