Good to see Pavlik making a quick turnaround. Sigmon isn't going to be much of a challenge but its nice seeing stars on ESPN once in a while. Jaco and then Sigmon isn't murderer's row but its good to see Pavlik get some rounds in and try to get/keep himself back on track. I doubt he goes from a couple guys like this into a big fight next. He probably fights some sort of fringe contedner like an Andrade next before facing the elites again.
Not fighting Bute when he probably wasn't ready for it was just a side benefit of Fscking up. If you listen to interviews he gave after that fiasco he was pretty apologetic.
Have to still listen to the whole interview when I have some more time. This staying busy the way he is really has me exicted. Pavlik may be able to raise his game to a level we have never seen. Or maybe not, but the potential in Pavlik is still there.
No need to rush this guy, he knows that he is doing the right thing with COMMITTING to training and living the appropriate lifestyle to be a world class boxer. I agree with an earlier post suggesting Andrade as his next opponent. That would be the perfect progression in his comeback. Nothing but respect to Kelly on getting back in the game. :thumbsup
i wont bash this fight like it should be bashed because KP is actually being active and staying busy, which is great.... but i shake my head at the lame attempt for some kind of "call you out" grudge match type thing.... i wouldnt even have acknowledged a guy without a decent win to his name was calling me out and i heard it if i had KPs resume
