Over all I agree but this has an interesting/amusing little history. I guess this kid got some backers and scraped up $30K at some point as a purse offer to entice Kelly into the ring. The interview I read didn't give a date. This is a case of 'be careful what you ask for'. If he thought he was naive about getting Kelly to jump in the ring for $30K he is in for a bigger awakening if he really feels he has a shot here.

Sigmon is a knucklehead, looking forward to seeing Kelly batter him.

I actually would prefer another Lopez. He wasn't that competitive but found a way to work to survive and use what he had to at least stay on his feet and make Kelly work.

Yeah, I don't see the point in another soft touch. Some rounds would be good to prepare for what is suppose to be a challenging fight in September. And it would keep him more motivated to fight a guy who presented some challange.

tune up. why not. anything which gives kelly confidence and boosts his record a bit is good.

Being twice or thrice as good as Jaco isn't saying much.

These fights might just be (for Uncle Bobby/TopRank) for making Kelly look like a KILLER in there, especially for the casual masses.

I don't care much for mismatches myself.

They don't do **** for Kelly either (boxing experience wise).

FNF's should gain Kelly some attention. He's gonna look like a monster VS this dude. Maybe that's Top Ranks whole reason. :conf

I think Arthur Abraham would be a decent tuneup type fight. He couldn't hang with Kelly in a boxing match but would keep him on his toes because if he had a lapse AA would make him pay.

Even tho Kelly would beat AA I would never consider him a tune up. More like the step up Kelly is looking for. I am starting to think top rank and Kelly are planning for Froch seeing the dates are matching up.

Big red is that Joe Calzaghe on your avatar? If it is, then let me tell ya that Joe C would humanilate Pavlik.

I see no future for him in 168
