Kelly Pavlik vs Sergio Martinez in April!!!!!

im more interested in seeing pavlik fight MIDDLEWEIGHTS

 

I'd be surprised if Williams is able to fight before 6 months.

 

You are not alone in that. My first choice is Sturm but HBO is less than luke warm to that and if they won't put up the money, it just isn't there.

 

he was messed up pretty bad..but then again cotto fought only 5 months after he suffered that huge cut against clottey

 

is sturm even willing to come to america again after what happened to him against de la hoya...lol

 

Pavlik wasn't good against one slick crafty boxer ... and that was at 170 against an ATG and probably one of the most slick boxers of the last 25 years...

are you trying to compare the LHW BHop v Pavlik fight to the MW Pavlik vs Martinez fight? I certainly hope not

 

Pavlik just wants to put a beatdown on Martinez to prove to P.Williams that he is better and that if Paul does want to step up to fight the MW champ that he isn't getting 50/50

 

even taylor was outboxing pavlik dude...pavlik has trouble against fighters that are technically sound...im not comparing hopkins to martinez you assumed that...but if hopkins style gave him THAT much trouble i don't get where you think martinez's style won't do much of the same...

 

Thats a good point! The funny thing is that Del la Hoya represents Mexico so if Sturm fights Pavlik! Sturms only chance is to KO Pavlik!

 

yeah its HBOs way of gauging KP vs PW in a common opponent ......i dont get it...but maybe it makes for good tv....

 

Martinez is no where near Taylor in terms of size and speed... and if you watch the first fight Pavlik was winning even before the KO (the judges cards were horrible) and Pavlik beat Taylor in a 12 round fight..


and you're wrong ... Hopkins is nearly impossible to hit flush... Martinez is far from impossible to hit flush...

Martinez has never faced a true MW and definitely not a big MW champion like Pavlik..

I can see Martinez giving Pavlik problems at times, but its only a matter of time until Pavlik starts finding home with those power shots.... and I would be surprised if Martinez didn't crumble after 7 or so rounds

He wont even need a full training camp for KP cause Pavlik is so one-dimensional that Martinez would get bored of game planning for the 1-2 or more importantly to KP the 1-1-2!

 

he was able to slip by a 82 inch reach of paul williams and land effectively...your makin it sound like pavlik has some superior defense or something
