Unfortunately, it's not even the name of my company. Although we do represent Daniel Jacobs. The name of my company was too long to use as a Screen Name. It is a great place to put pictures of our shirts up though. I rotate it monthly depending on which one of our guys is fighting.

Curious. I don't like the risk/reward ratio for either guy tbh.

As someone said earlier in the thread, that Pavlik lost to one of the slickest, craftiest, most strategically adept fighters in the history of the sport doesn't mean that anyone who can box and will beat him. Geez, even some people were calling Rubio to "outbox" him. Pavlik isn't just a slugger; he has a versatile and rangy left hand and times his punches with great precision. We saw against Taylor - twice - that he could handle fast, skillful fighters. Martinez is good, but he ain't that good.

What? Jermain isn't a slick southpaw fighter.

Taylor was fast, could move, could slip punches, could jump in with combos from nowhere. Don't tell me that anybody who fancies themselves as a slick fighter can just walk all over Pavlik. It just doesn't work like that. Even Ol' Popkins didn't beat Pavlik by dancing - he hit him hard and tied him up. A Jr. Middleweight won't gain Pavlik's respect. KP will just walk him down and **** him up.

Hmmm....I like the fight actually, Martinez has shades of Joe Calzaghe, this would give us a small sample of how a Calzaghe/Pavlik fight may have looked like.

Taylor also isn't a southpaw...and Martinez has faster hands than Taylor.

Pavlik will beat Martinez but let's not discredit Sergio. He's a heck of a live dog.

So what happened to "building his profile" in the states, when did Sergio Martinez become a "known entity"? Sergio Martinez is an Argentine fighter living in Spain? Forgot to mention a 34 year old fighter who has fought at 154 his whole career. Everytime a fighter is mentioned, first it was Sergio Mora, Arthur decides after the Oral fight it will be his last, ALL OF A SUDDEN, Arthur becomes a potential opponent WHEN ARTHUR ANNOUNCED HE WAS MOVING UP! Then talks of Sturm, WHO ALSO DOES NOT HAVE A "PROFILE" in the states! NOW, Martinez is being discussed! BULL****, IT WAS OBVIOUS THEY WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH ARTHUR! It is funny "some" poster here on ESB are claiming Arthur ducked Pavlik, I wonder what there thoughts are now! I can't wait to hear the next excuse! And a new reason why arthur "DUCKED" Pavlik! LOOOOOL!

For the money Arthur wanted, he had to be known better in the states. This isn't too hard to figure out is it? You want big bucks, you have to put asses in seats and sell PPV. One more time. This was about MONEY.

Pavlik doesn't sell ppv. Pavlik couldn't even get to 300k on ppv lol.

If this was about money (Abraham asking too much), then how exactly King Arthur ended up fighting Taylor, Kessler, Ward, Dirrell and Froch on a smaller budget network in Showtime, while Pavlik is fighting Mora or Martinez on this so-called PPV? Who's money was the problem?

It's a rethorical question, Herm. It's not too hard to figure it out.

Man stop with this nonsense. Taylor could slip punches? I'm a big Taylor fan and he doesn't slip punches when a punch comes to him. He gets hit alot cause he always puts his left hand way too low in which is why Pavlik ko Taylor in the first fight. Hopkins was slipping punches in which he was ducking punches making Pavlik miss too many times. Hopkins didn't even hold alot in the Pavlik fight.

Figures I saw for the money being thrown at this tourney is substantial. You saw the Pavlik/Sturm offer HBO came up with. You have seen Abraham's demands. $1.5 mill plus Saurland doesn't put in any of his TV money. Yeah, right..... You would be the first to say Arum would thrown his mother to the wolves for the right price so you KNOW this is about money.
