He beats Taylor and can possibly beat Froch in an all out War. Direll (at least at this point) would be too green. Maybe this will change once we see how he does in the tourney. I think Ward has the quickness and strength to surprise Pavlik. Kessler would dominate and possbily KO Pavlik.
im not in the mood for your corny "paul is ducking/walk with me is scared/goosen is scared nonsense" to be honest... i asked a question and i just wanted to see what people thought.... keep it moving if you dont want to answer or just post the link to a similar thread....
No it would not be a war. Styles make fights, and Pavlik would assassinate Froch in 3-5 rounds. Out of the 6, Froch is by far the easiest guy for Pavlik to beat.
Last I saw of Pavlik, he looked like a freakin amateur. He really needs to show he ain't damaged goods and that he didn't get exposed, but just had a bad night.
that's complete toss. Pavlik and froch would go at it hard and I couldn't see it lasting twelve rounds. in my opinion could go either way but this would by no means be a easy fight for kelly.
And show me in this thread where I ever said ANYTHING close to that? Why are you suddenly wanting to know how Pavlik stacks up against 6 guys a weight class up from him anyhow? :think
Froch is slow, clumsy, keeps his guard low, has no defense, leads with his chin, keeps his front foot way to far out, has almost zero footwork, and has extremely sloppy punching technic. Pavlik would mug Froch at the opening bell, and never let up. Froch is by far the easiest opponent for Pavlik in the Super Six.
cause im bored as **** and felt like making a thread on a boxing forum....i dont understand what this thread woudl even imply i was thinking psychologically for you to come up with such stupid accusations... whether or not i was truly scared (which im not) or not... this fight is going to come off so i can divert all the attention i want from the fight and one day its going to happen.... so if you are truly crazy enough to think im "diverting" attention away from teh fight you are way to obsessed with this forum ****.... to think what i think has any bearings on real life and i could go back into those old threads and dig up 1000's of posts about you and boo radley clowing around constantly about goosen being chicken **** and trying to price out.... you know you were doing it and i dont even know why your trying to hide it... I really dont care enough to do that to be honest... all you are to me is a block of text... and a user name with a kelly pavlik avatar.. your just digital so either answer the question or just let the thread be
Pavlik UD Taylor Ward - Pavlik is pretty much unknown, Andre Ward is still an unknown great entity. Dirrell - Pavlik same as above. Abraham KO-mid rds Pavlik Kessler TKO-late Pavlik Froch ices Pavlik early.
and all the that you've said is working very well in his career, beating taylor and pascal is no easy task for any one.
The funny thing is guys, we will never know. I am new to posting however I have been reading on this site for years. I remember when everyone thought Pavlik was one of the most unstoppable fighters and today he is nothing but a decent middleweight in a weak division. I am too frustrated that his fights are frequently being cancelled. But as a fan I stand by the fighter because he has accomplished more than we could ever do. I would like to see Pavlik fight Williams. He very may win, he may lose. Thats the great thing about boxing you never know whats going to happen. I guess the question that I have for everyone is if one of the guys pull out after there first loss due to any type of reason. Do you think they may ask someone else to step in? Do you think someone like Pavlik or Williams if available would take there spot if asked?
Kelly struggles at higher weights so I'd question any win really; you could even see the difference in the 2nd Taylor fight which was very very close........ That isn't to say he's a worse boxer on a P4P level it's many of these guys are natural 168'rs more suited to 175 even (Like Kessler who could easily make 175 whereas Froch probably couldn't go lower than 166 and never walks around out of shape anyway so would likely never touch 175). Kelly with his frame would need to be 6'3" or more to really 'scale up' to their weights and make the fights more even and not jusk 'bulk up' - it wouldn't help him. For Taylor coming up was easier he is built in a more accommodating way to weight gain. Kelly's strength is the way he throws his punches with his frame. bulking out won't work for him Kelly can only really go up genetically (ie height & maybe slight natural girth). I suspect Kelly will always fall short @ 168. I suggest we wait and see what Abraham does and use that as an accurate measuring stick.
I think Pavlik could beat Froch and Dirrell. The rest I think would beat him. He might be able to win a UD against Abraham; I don't think he's busy enough.
