I love the way Vera was a bum not too long ago according to Boo. He made it out like Andy Lee lost to a bum. Now he is a better fighter than Lorenzo. His nuthuggery knows no bounds. I have no problem with this match up, Pavlik looked **** last time out, he needs a good win under his belt to get some confidence back. People still talk of him like he is some p4p fighter who can clean out 2 divisions but he clearly isn't the Pavlik of 2 years ago so get off his back.
You said he lost to Brian "freaking" Vera, like it was an enbarrassing loss. I really couldn't be bothered to find the post where you said it. You called him **** in so many words. I said you made him out to be a bum, you didn't call him a bum specifically.
Look at Craig McEwan. Him and Andy were both world class amatuers. As professionals both have had world class training and sparring. Stylistcally there isn't a nickels worth of difference between them. McEwan fought a smart fight. Lee fought a stupid fight, and that deserves criticism. If you fight a stupid fight against Vera, or you take him lightly, you will probably end up paying for it in some fashion. Pavlik can't afford that at this point in time. He has to dominate Vera, take him out quicker than Kirkland did, and look good doing it. He cannot afford to lose like Lee did. He can't afford to go the distance like McEwan did. Nor can he afford to get banged up like Kirkland did. He has to fight a near perfect fight, or he gains nothing. I'm sure he knows that, and that makes this a decent tune-up for whatever comes next.
Mcewan was not a world class amateur he didnt go to any of the big competitions like the worlds, europeans, EU comps or the olympics. Mcewan was beaten by Andy and john duddy by clear margins every time he tried to step up for the big comps.

The commonwealth bronze was the highlight of his amateur career and you should know yourself who actually takes part in that comp. Mcewan was levels behind andy and in the amateurs , go and ask in the brit forum (who would know more than you and wiki) if mcewan was near andys class in the ams.
Go into the brit forum and ask was mcewan a world class amateur in andy lees league PLEASE. And ask would he beat him right now when it matters .
