Kelly Pavlik won't back up....

I think Pavlik is for real, but, I bet he has a short shelf life. A couple years on top and then his chin, which already shows cracks, will let him down.

I was kind of glad to see Andy Lee go down on Friday. I'm sick of Steward talking about how he is ready for the title by the end of the year. Totally disrespectful to Pavlik. Between his comments about Pavlik when he was training Taylor to his comments about how Lee was pretty much ready now to take the title he obviously doesn't have much respect for him.

I just want to know how a "defensive genius" takes a title. atsch Would be interesting to see Pavlik take his perogative as champ and make people come up and open up for a counter.

 

Exactly. As long as he keeps blocking punches with his face, he can expect his career to only last a few years (an exciting few years at that, however).

 

If KP is managed right he can be chanmo for a LONG time. I dont see any major threat at 160, in fact the only guy i see is Artur Abraham and boxing politics will prevent that from happening, think RJJ - DM....

 

With the exception of his nose, Pavlik has never looked that worse for wear after a fight. You see the press conferences after the fights and Taylor (after both fights) and Miranda looked like they'd been mugged. Pavlik doesn't.

 

Pavlik has said he wants to be done by the time he is 30, so I think his chin will hold up.

 

Even though I thought Taylor won the second fight, because I felt he block alot of his shots. I enjoy pavlik from the 14 fights I seen from him and he will be an alltime great.

 

I remember someone saying about(or more) a year ago that Pavlik would beat alot of fighters throughout 2007-2010. Don't know if OP were the one.

I do remember I told him that Miranda would probably make him wake up.

 

i think he still needs to be tested, he's already face a big puncher in miranda but I don't know how well he will do against AA but I really think he and wright should match up just to further solidify himself. I do agree he'll probably take a title at 168 but 175 i don't know

 

I had both Marquez brothers winning also Watch the fight again Taylor block alot of his shots, and if that body punch didn't occur people would had thought it was a robbery
