Golovkin is too easy to hit, the taller Pavlik would have tee'd off on him and beat him. Too bad COKE and ALCOHOL derailed him.
I actually think Pavlick would win this one. I don't think Pavlick would have any problem with meeting GGG in the center of the ring, and banging it out with him, and we saw what Ouma was able to do when you stand toe to toe with GGG. Pavlick is way stronger, more durable, and hits a ton harder than Ouma. And if Pavlick actually backs up GGG, the fight's essentially over.
You can't say with any certainty that GGG beats prime Pavlik. Peeps forget what a beast Kelly was. I would favour Golovkin though 60-40
The whole GGG is too easy to hit argument is probably the most overused one about him. He gets hit about as much as anyone else and doesn't get hit cleanly that often-or with a lot of power behind it because they're aware of what's going to come back-, especially for someone with his style. People act like people load up combos on him or something. Slick boxers keep getting praised yet they get hit a lot also and are the ones tasting the canvas. I enjoy both styles but if lets not act like slick boxers aren't getting hit either.
SO Golovkin is easy to hit, what does that make Pavlik? a heavy bag? He wouldn't even back GGG up let alone beat him.
