Just read a good piece by Ron Borges in Boxing Monthly about Pavlik. First off, I can't wait for the rematch. I think Pavlik can take JT out again but JT will have watched that tape over and over and will recognise the mistakes but I think KP's power is still way too much.

Just wanted to ask y'all what you reckon to the rematch?

    Are you interested?
    Are you excited?
Is KP a one trick pony?
Will JT rectify his mistakes and show the world how good he is?

    Adios

of course i'll be watching. It should be a great fight that could go either way but i think KP is just too strong for JT.

Pavlik may well be a one trick pony, but it's a bloody good trick.

I'm very excited cause I expect another action-packed fight. I see the same outcome in the rematch though. The early round are going to be pretty close then Pavlik takes over the fight more and more with his power and aggressive style and wins by KO in round 9.

    Are you interested?
    Yes, I am very interested

    Are you excited?
    Yes, I am very excited

Is KP a one trick pony?
No, Pavlik is not a one trick pony. He is a young fighter that just keeps getting better and better. And I fully expect him to look superb in this fight. He's got the tools to become a GREAT middleweight champion.

Will JT rectify his mistakes and show the world how good he is?
No, Taylor is not a fighter to adjust and learn from his mistakes. He has had the same bad habits his entire career and he's not going to fix them now. He holds his hands too low, he telegraphs his punches, he isn't great defensively, and he backs straight up into the ropes when he is tagged good. Taylor was never a great fighter to begin with. He was hyped up a lot by HBO and DiBella. A good fighter though...

Pavlik better come prepared because Taylor will be. I think Taylor has a very good chance at winning this. He almost had Kelly out in the first fight, I am still befuddled about him not knowing how to finish him.

Any Pavlik fight I am interested in because he is an entertaining MOFO. As far as the rematch concerened, IMO Taylor has even less chance to beat Pavlik now as their confidence level went different directions.

I have a hard time believing that someone doesn't like Kelly Pavlik. I think even the most diehard Taylor fans (though there aren't many tbh) respect the man. Easily the most humble fighter in the game today and he always puts on a good fight to boot.

I want to see how Taylor come into this rematch, I think he did have some confidence issues going into the fight. But now he is the underdog, and all the pressure is on Kelly to prove that the first fight wasn't a fluke. I think Jermaine needs to find the hunger, that enable him to defeat a man (Hopkins) who hadn't lost in 20 defenses. If Jermaine can find that hunger again, than I believe he can do it. If he still doubts himself, than he will be in trouble.

Pavlik is far from a one trick pony - but I still think Taylor will win the rematch. Should be a good fight.

I am very excited to see Kelly Pavlik rematch with Jermain Taylor. I am one hundred percent positive that Pavlik will prevail yet again as Taylor will be unable to adjust his bad habits over the course of one training camp.Pavlik is too fundamentally sound to slip up against Taylor again. As George Foreman would say, "he believes in his power!" And that power will tell the tale on the fate of Taylor yet again.

    Pavlik by devastating KO.
