Call him out? If he really wants a fight with Bute , he will get down to 168 and Bute will take him. BHop was just putting his name out there and one took a bite. That fish is Jean Pascal. :deal Bute told the press in numerous ocasions that he will not move up until he finishes his biz at 168.
I think Bute's problem with fighting BHOP is the dissatisfaction a brutal KO would bring. IDK how satisfying brutally knocking out a geriatric Hopkins would bring for him. However, that racism he spews is gonna make it happen sooner or later.:admin
BHop will not take a fight with Bute at this stage. DAMN ,if it was for him he will not take the fight with Dawson , but he has to. BHop doesn't like boxers with skills.
I keep running into comments about how bad Pavlik looked in his last fight. The guys who make those comments can deny the truth until the Sun goes Nova, but that won't change the fact that they were influenced way to much by Bernstein and Tarver. Showtime clearly had an anti-pavlik agenda, and Taver and Bernstein were there to implement that agenda. Adelaide Bird was clearly there to help push the Showtime agenda forward. In my opinion Showtime thought they had found a guy in Lopez who could be built up the same way HBO hyped up Martinez. Kelly spoiled their plans the same way he spoiled HBO's plans when he knocked out Miranda and Taylor. Two judges and all of press row got it right. I scored the fight 98-92 right in line with their scores. I've already issued a challenge a couple of times that I will issue again. Go watch the fight, and then come back here with Video and round by round commentary on what Lopez did that was so wrong. What exactly did Alfonso Lopez do that should have made him easy to beat? Lopez played "spoiler" all night long. He put forth a damned admirable effort to fight like Bernard Hopkins. Lopez has also spent nearly his entire career at 175 and above. After a 14 month lay off Pavlik took on an undefeated fighter who was clearly the biggest, strongest guy KP ever faced. Kelly still won 8 out of 10 rounds, and if it had been a 12 round fight, Alfonso would not have seen the final bell. What Pavlik did in his last fight was win, and win clearly. That's what he was supposed to do.
the kp that fought miranda and taylor no longer exists. they say that every good fighter has one last fight in him. that fight fight for kp is the bottle.
Are you privy to some kind of insider information? Do you follow Kelly around 24/7? Seriously -- did you pull this comment out of your ass, or do you have a legitimate source?
why would bhop try to make 168 when he is winning at 175(i believe he won the first pascal fight)? and but is not even a name to sell tickets here. bhop is all about risk to reward right now and deservably so. if he had to make a fight at 168, it would be for the winner of the super six.
there are many links to kp and his brother getting into an alcoholic-induced fight at a family function with kp's brother falling through a window. kp then denied all accounts of drinking. look who hes fighting next. the guy is not even a journeyman. kp's management are on a very limited time frame with this train wreck. only the foolish public will buy a kp fight at this point. kp is an incredible fade right now.
Sink or swim for both of these jokes. Pavlik has not won a meaningful fight in over 3 years and Bute, well, has never won a meaningful fight.:roflatsch
I have it on good authority from inside sources within the Pavlik camp that Pavlik has still been hitting the bottle.
Kelly Pavlik is seriously hated and underated these days. Yeah he lost to Martinez and yeah the was on rehab, but you need to give the guy a break. He came back , move up to 168, beat un undefeted fighter. You guys make of him like he is Jermain Taylor done or something.
