While i def agree on the weight difference, I think Martinez and Bute are pretty equal in power, maybe Bute has the slight edge. I just think people are underestimating Pavlik here. I'm a fan of both fighters but if Pavlik brings his A game, which is a big IF, this is going to be one hell of a fight..If Andrade can hurt Bute then Pavlik can def hurt him . Should be interesting. Cant wait for Nov. 5

    Huge Pavlik fan here..

I think Kelly wants to fight Froch more than anyone else at SMW(including Bute)....The reason being is that Froch is somewhat sloppy and you add that with his suspect defense, still a very good fighter, but I think Kelly knows this and believes its a very winnable fight for him..I for one think so too..He should def stay away from Ward who is pretty much unbeatable at SMW and Dirrell whos movement would cause nightmares for him. I also think deep down he wants rematch at Martinez.

Not looking that far into the future. That is at least 3 fights away. He has two in front of him now.

Bute eats pressure fighters. Fighting backwards is his game.

as a chronic alcoholic Pavlik came close to beating martinez. He has more than a good chance of beating Bute, if he can regain some of the form he displayed on his climb to the MW title.

    1. He should fight whoever the #1 contender is IBF

    2. A cheesy title defense because everyone else does!

Let's assume, just for the sake of debate, that Pavlik comes in with the mind-set he had in the Miranda fight, and his skills as sharp as they were in the two Taylor fights. When did Bute ever "eat" a pressure fighter that good?

Lucian is not fighting Jesse Brinkley or Brian Magee. He's not fighting face first Andrade, shot to **** Miranda, or under-sized Zuniga. He's fighting the best opponent he's ever faced, and if Kelly comes in anywhere near top form, no one is getting "eaten."

I think he will come into the fight with that mindset..Kelly loves being the underdog...
