I'm with you on RJJ being near untouchable at 160 & 168 (hell, outclassing prime Toney, if a disinterested and possibly somewhat drained version, speaks for itself) ...and Pavlik does get overrated, but he was still any-era championship-tier and his stylistic and physical attributes make him a challenge beyond any we actually saw Jones have to deal with at those weights. Pavlik chin-checks him in at least one fight of ten, if maybe not 3. In the rest, yes, he would get clowned, schooled and maybe stopped himself.

Jones would destroy Pavlik, on a whole different level.

Curious what you mean by should have? You mean in 2013? Both were by then already kind of past their sell-by, for me. Or am I forgetting another time it was makeable?

I'm not so sure of that. Glad to see you can see the realism here.

Jones would decimate Pavlik. Most likely by stoppage. Kelly wouldn't know what hit him.

Judging by the Martinez fight (not prime Pavlik but still), Roy by KO.

I mean yeah I definitely would have still watched it then fasho.

Just think it would have been a much better fight if you could magically transplant prime RJJ from the first half of the 90's to Pavlik's peak years (2005-09)

If Kelly got in shape he would hurt Roy badly. Jones is a million years old and has arthritic knees. Pavlik is a lot younger and retired at a much younger age without sustaining as much damage throughout his career.
