a mix of 1 and 2....he was cleary being overrated

but he's not a bum or anything, he's a B+ class fighter....

Pavlik has been somewhat overrated, I think. He's a good fighter who has limits, dealing with movement apparently being one of them.

How is Pavlik overrated when he lost at a weight he doesn't belong at?

I dont see anyone beating him at 160 right now.

 

Was Pavlik really outweighed by 18 lb against hop or even close to it. It's not that significant to/for me I was just wandering.:hi:

 

I have no clue but I will say that Pavlik during the 24/7 said that he wasn't going to need to cut weight if much at all.

That meaning he's not going to be packing on much weight if at all for the fight compared to Hopkins who cuts to make that weight.

 

Saw a video just now. Pavlik was outweighed by 6lbs. Pavlik 174. Hopkins 180.

 

Pavlik was presumptious in thinking he was ready for the likes of Hopkins or Calzaghe and was disrespectful to them both before he got beat.

Whether he is overrated is another matter.......most people see him as a big punching MW with a decent chin and decent jab

But his speed, footwork and combination work lets him down as does his apparent tendency to follow guys around the ring

You can't take away his 3 big wins against Miranda and Taylor but there are MWs out there that could beat him

He certainly is no "tomato can" and is the recognized MW champ and will be unless Abraham, Winky, Sturm or Williams could pull off an upset

Realistcally only Abraham and Wright could beat him unless he has no confidence after the fleeting visit to LHW

 

This is what happens when a guy who is so popular and gets all kinds of praise loses. Ppl leave his bandwagon and call him overrated and a can. Thats ESB for ya

I just added "AA KTFO by Midwestern Tomato Can" to my list.

 

People calling a World Champion a "tomato can" is a big reason this General Forum is avoided by a lot of guys on this website

 

Abraham's cagey defence and iron chin mixed with his vicious uppercuts mean Pavlik is the more likely to be sparked out if they ever meet. This is the only fight that matters in the MW division.

 

Pavlik KO8 Abraham. KP will have 3 words for AA on fight night; "Welcome to hell."

 

Pavlik is way more open to being hit that Abraham that's my main reason for thinking Kelly will be KO'd if either of them were to be. Also who hits harder?? It's difficult to judge.

If anything I'd favour a UD for Pavlik due to work rate, but if one of them gets knocked out I'm gonna say it's The Ghost
