true that Pavlik is very good. Let's see what happen if they fight at 160 lbs where pavlik is the king.

 

Bernard makes a lot of fighters look bad. Kelly has nothing to be ashamed of. He'll be back and hopefully we'll get to see him take on Abraham in '09. The fight with Duddy is pointless--but I am curious to see how many pints of blood Duddy spills onto the canvas.

The downside of ESB...

 

There are a number of Pavlik haters on ESB that were delighted by Pavlik's loss to Hopkins. After years of picking against him, and then being humiliated by his fans when their guy lost, they can now take pleausure in making jack asses of themselves.

Back in '06 they said that Pavlik's win over McKart meant that Bronco was shot to ****, and should retire. Bronco won his next 3, including an NABF title fight, then fought an entertaining draw with Marquez who beat Lorenezo for an IBF title shot.

When he beat Zertuche, they said Jose' was just a tomato can, and that Pavlik would never beat a real fighter.

A good 70-75 percent of this forum picked Miranda to knock Kelly out. Pavlik ruined Miranda.

After that, they all said "ya, but he'll never beat Taylor." Jermain, they said, was to quick, to athletic, and had to much big fight experience. Two fights later they downgraded Taylor to "B" level, so they could avoid giving Pavlik the credit he deserved.

By the end of 2009 Pavlik will hold wins over Arthur Abraham, and the winner of Wright/Williams. The same haters will then say Arthur was just an over-hyped euro-bum. If Williams wins his upcoming bout with Winky, Pavlik will have done nothing but beat up a welterweight. If it's winky, they'll say he was small and old.

Some things never change.

 

Before Pav/Abe we need to run a public poll to rate AA. A lot of people call him elite and it certainly seems to go unchallenged.

 

Agreed, but we need to run the poll just a day or two before the fight. That way, after the fight we can reference it quickly and easily.

Kelly Pavlik is not a tomato can, he is a A level fighter who lost to a legand period yes A level fighters too lose fights.

 

IMO kelly can beat Sturm or AA at 160...
