After what Avanesyan just did to Lejarraga. I can see them side stepping this one under the excuse of PBK making his US debut on the Joshua card. And to be fair its the correct move for Kelly's career. If he takes the fight and beats him hes got nowhere to go but world level and would have had less than 10 fights. I think theres a few propects being rushed at Matchroom at the minute due to lack of PPV stars and the pressure from Sky. In my opinion unless you are someonw like Joe Joyce you should not be going near world level until you have had 15/20 fights. For me he should be going in with Jenkins and the likes of Essuman for a couple of fights before the likes of Van Heerden then build to 3-5 fringe world level fights against the likes of Collazo, Soto and Guerrero.
There’s a rematch clause for Lejerraga so no it won’t happen. BUT even if there weren’t a rematch clause they wouldn’t be taking it anyway! Very dangerous fight.
Why doesn't he go through British level first? He's already backed out of this fight before anyway so I don't see this happening so he may as well go through the levels first instead of trying to jump the queue.
Yeah can’t see that happening in a million years, especially after what avanesyan did last time out. Can see Kelly just being fed bums for a while to look flash and keep the casuals on board.
