Anyone remember him? American bantamweight from the late 80s. I went to France to watch him fight local hard man Thierry Jacob in a massive circus tent near Calais. This was the best fight I ever saw live by some distance. I belive it was voted overseas fight of the year by British paper Boxing News
Good fighter. One of those sleepers who was mismanaged and took fights on the spur of the moment resulting in a poor and deceiving record until he could show what he really had. Along the lines of Mike Weaver, Freddie Pendleton and Steve Robinson. Saw his first fight with Orlando Canizales. Good fighter. Scartissue
I remember Kelvin, he was like a miniature Saad Muhammad and was loads of fun to watch. His fight against Jacob was indeed a great fight, your one lucky sob that you got to see it live I tell ya. Jacob got dropped seconds into the fight and then came back to drop Kelvin twice himself in the very same round, from then onwards each round was a toe to toe affair for the most part although Jacob was getting the better of most exchanges. The 8th round was one of the best rounds of boxing I have ever seen, surely you remember that one? Anyway, nice to see there are other Seabrooks fans out there as you never hear his name getting a mention here or elsewhere.... he wasn`t a great fighter by any means but he was a damn sight better then his record would suggest at first glance and he was one gutsy little fighter.
