Where does he stand in the lightweight annals of history? A great fighter he was imo; vastly underrated, skilful as hell if not a hard puncher and very unlucky to run into Duran, whom he pushed all the way before losing unfairly and never being granted a rematch. Beat Laguna and Ortiz amongst others and got a bum decision or two directed his way before and after winning the title and was much avoided.

Top 10 a fair shout? Discuss. :think

    Top 15 I would say.

I think 10 is pushing it, but he's not too far off.

Definitely top ten. Buchanan, despite the brevity of his title reign, was one of the most skilled, and at the same time one of the toughest of all lightweight champions.

Probably 10-15 for me without much thinking.

I got him at no.6 on 60's and up list.

All time, that would make him no.10, because i would have to add the likes of Benny Leonard, Joe Gans, etc(old timers) over him.
