i'd favour arguello, even though ken is a definite all time great and my second favourite fighter.i don't think there'd be any knock downs but ken loses this one

What win a close decision over 10 rounds against a poor Arguello?

Me and you think very alike in terms of Arguello vs Fernandez.

Alexis definitly had problems with movement but not to the extent people make out. Buchanan can definitly exploit it early with his lateral movement, good head movement and snappy cultured left jab.

Buchanan tended to stand it out when the pressure fighter got to him IMO and Arguello would eventually start to pin down Buchanan more and more as the rounds so past. The hard punches and body work of Arguello wins him the rounds but Buchanan was one tough gritty guy and could weather it.

A very close decision to Buchanan because of his fast early lead IMO

fascinating fight, a real contrast in styles. I'd go for Alexis as the better fighter head to head but in this he could have problems, bad stylistic matchup for him. Ken could pull this off in my opinion.
the Lopez Arguello comment is even more interesting to me. This fight at feather could be a real classic. here's 2 fighters who's styles compliment and suit each other. I think Danny is probably the bigger puncher and he takes a shot, keeps the pressure on, a real handful for Alexis. Alexis a bit more refined and patient though he too would take it to Danny but he's less experienced at feather. It's a pickem and I would say it ends inside the distance either way. Can't split them.

Exactly! Alex pours it on in the last two rounds and we know he had ko power in both hands. Kenny endures the onslaught and wins by a hair.

I'm telling you..Buchanan would have upset Arguello and taken a decision.

The winning ingredient for Buchanan, as much as his skills, would have been his chin and balls. Ken proved his toughness against Duran.

I'd rate Arguello higher personally. Dosent have the big win in Laguna but has wins over top quality guys like Mancini and Watt as well as a couple of defences and some non-title wins over Corny Boza and Ramirez.

It is very close though Buchanan has probably the better wins in Laguna and Navarro but Arguello was very dominant at Lightweight, and I think on film looks slightly better.

    They were certainly tested.

buchanan. better movement possibly better jab. go for him his ability to take a punch and not break under pressure while also having amazing stamina would for me be perfect to beat arguello....also is rangey enough not to get put out of the front door.
