    Who would have won this matchup if these two lightweight legends met up in their primes?

    Ortiz would pull it off in a very close bout. I think his ability to adapt, and his physical strength at the weight, would be the difference. I think quite highly of Buchanan and think he gives a lot of people a hell of a time, if not beat them. Bump for interesting match up.

    Agree 100%. And I hold Buchanan pretty highly.

    I met Ortiz in 2006 and he was one of those men who were just immovable strength, so Kenny the Boxer, would get more out muscle'd than in the Duran fight here...

    I love Buchanan but I’d have to say Ortiz. Stronger and even down the stretch were Buchanan always came on, he’d have to contend with Ortiz who was also great down the stretch.
