lol !!! sure he didnt ... Ken was stopped only once ...Rosario and Pendleton answered that question already anyway .. Bramble lasts how many with Duran , maybe 6 rounds? Bramble had that ATG jab that was tailored made for mancini .. Duran gets in at will against bramble and Kos him ken vs Ray ? wide UD ken
1984 Bramble would do better than 6 Not sure why you'd say that BTW, Rosario also trashed Viruet, the same Viruet who took Duran 15, in three Duran's list of challengers just isnt that impressive
Duran is a style nightmare for Bramble who relied on measuring the distance, his ATG jab and a good hook .... well throw that out the window when Duran has his forehead in his grill and takes the fight on the inside ,, bye bye Bramble, imo the whole narrative over the years that Duran had it easy at LW is getting a bit overblown and underatting big time guys like Buchanon and De jesus ... I mean can anyone stop and think for a bit that maybe his competition, experience in some tough fights, and his overall dominance at LW was the reason he was able to go up and take Prime SRL belt from him at WW ?? I mean it's really not that hard to figure out ... his LW work was everything it needed to be to send a prime WW Ray Leonard home for the night ... it's one of the biggest wins in the History of the sport ... and it doesnt come from easy competition ....
Buchanan showed great durability and toughness against an emerging but utterly relentless Duran. A skilled boxer with a top jab and great durability is beating Ray unless there's a well hidden bomb to the stones.
I haven't actually seen alot of Buchanan I should maybe watch more of his fights, but I would think Buchanan should win this by decision. As he competed at a much higher level and beat a much higher class of opposition. I've actually always wondered why there was never a Duran/Buchanan rematch, considering how the fight ended in controversy. And it wasn't an easy fight for Duran either, who has said himself it was one of his toughest fights.
Definitely a distance fight as both men were as tough as teak. However,Ken was streets ahead of Ray in terms of skill. Buchanan by clear decision. Maybe 10 - 5 in rounds.
