I think he's at least TWO levels above Hatton. Buchanan would have humiliated Hatton. Ken proved his skills in career, but he proved his TOUGHNESS in that fight with Duran. He would have taken anything Hatton would be lucky enough to land with contemptous ease and would have punished him in return. NO CONTEST. A shutout for Ken, whether over 12 or 15 rounds.
If this fight is totally fair weight-wise, then i think Hatton hasnt got the creativity to do anything with a great boxer like Ken, Buchannan will box him and at times it may be a schooling, not consistently throughout though, but Buchannan would win a wide decision imo.
I'm ignoring the question out of respect for Ken the Magnificent. Let's replace it with another one: who would win, The Mighty Thor or the Wiggles?
To not give Ricky Hatton a chance against Buchanan is wrong. IMO The slugger Vs. the slickster will always have it's styles prob's for both... (Does not always favor the "Boxer") Hatton at his best would swarm and unleash combo's on the inside while pasted to his opponent's chest. And is a tuff' lil' ****er aswell to boot. (Defo not Duran, But on the inside Hatton's pressure is pretty good himself) Buchanan would prob etch out a Decision. But to say it would be a blowout...I'm not to sure. (It would still be 140lbs vs. a 135)
