I dont know so much about this guy. I know he fought Duran, did he give him a good fight? Apparently there was some controversy about that fight, Duran low blows maybe?... How good was he All Time at lightweight? Top 10?
He was game in the Duran fight, but Duran beat him up. There was controversy - the low blow at the end of the round. The ref stopped the fight because of it, but didn't call it low. At lightweight, he's not top 10, but perhaps in the top 20-25.
He did better again Duran than most, but was still trailing on the cards when he was brutally low-blowed. Not wanting to DQ Duran and cause a massive controversy, the ref pretended it was a KO. They say Buchanan's metal cup protector was utterly mangled by the punch. :shock:
