Khan would be far too quick for him. Buchannan only wins by bullying Khan and Khan under Roach wouldn't get drawn into it. Ref steps in and saves Buchannan

 

If Flea was here, I'm sure he'd say something along the lines of;

An 135lb Buchanan would still possess some of the most unique upper body movement ever seen in a fighter wearing near 10 stone despite going up against a very good light welterweight in Khan. He has the chin and poise the land effective shots as Khan flurries (and the durability to remain composed against the handspeed and size Khan has on him) and the ability to turn Amir as he comes in.

Here is one fight where a man with poor feet against a man with superb ring generalship and all-round game looks sub par. Buchanan makes up for his lack of jarring power by taking away Khans jab and being the all round better technician.

Ken had some bad nights (against anoter notoriously hot-and-cold fighter in Guts Ishimatsu notably) but on his best night Vs Khans I gave to go for the more proven and versatile operator.

Buchanan has the great movement (head and foot) combined with that jab and timing.

Khan likes to be in controll but with Buchanan's awkward movement and consistent jabbing, Khan's going to find it hard to get going and will be left to resorting to stepping in with mad flurries,which I beleive Ken would counter with spiteful shots.

Buchanan to win a wide decision or late stoppage

 

Khan would win and Buchanan would make a name for himself over the next 40 years as a bitter old Scottish *******...................

No way Khan wins, the only advanatage he has is speed, and Buchanan holds the advanatages (and he really is so much better in other areas) in all other areas.

 

Nobody knows,hard to compare fighters from different eras. Fight ends in a draw.

In terms of consistency, Buchanans jab is rivalled at the weight by Sweet Peas only, it was like a piston.

Pea has the best jab ever IMO, but yeh Buchanan is right up there hes always popping it.

If I was Flea I'd say:

'I agree with you (Greg), Pea has the, but Buchanan's is as consistent in volume.'

Buchanan wins imo. At 135 he would destroy Khan. At 140 Ken wins a UD
