if Ken Norton had got the decision in his close title challenge to Ali in 1976 and then given George Foreman a shot at regaining the title (instead of a rematch with Ali) who would have won?

Does George blow him out again, after all he had just KO'd Lyle and Frazier, or does Norton have a game plan to beat him second time round?

Foreman knocks him out again, a tougher victory to come by however. I always wished this would have happened. I always wondered if Norton could have gave us a great fight.

Ain’t no version of Kenny Norton … and he was one of my favorites back in the day … ever beats any version of George Foreman. Period. That’s not a matchup, much like Foreman vs. Frazier, that ever works for Norton.

Out of interest what are the flaws in Norton's style that would make him crumble again?

Would he not change his game plan and style for a second fight given what happened in the first?

Well Ken was a bit of a pressure fighter, he liked to get in close. But unfortunately for him getting close and trying to slug it out, always would end in disaster

Did Norton cut you off in traffic back in the day? Jeez. At best he does better but Foreman would always b his nyquil.

George would always have been a bad fight for Ken.

That’s why Norton’s camp would rather get stripped of WBA/WBC or one or the other than let him get in the ring with George again. After Leon title was spilt this would be same if George was mandatory just that title gets split in 76 instead of 78 and with Norton as champion instead of Norton.
