Klitschko - Gets knocked out. Badly. Ibragimov - Probably KO/UD Peter - Again, gets knocked out. Might take awhile, but he'll go down. Chagaev - I think Chaggy wins this one, actually. I think he'd be a stylistic spoiler to Norton, but it could go either way. Valuev - Probably loses a UD...can't see him dealing with that size.. (and power?) Chambers - Outhustles and forces him back for a UD Povetkin - 50/50 IMO. Povetkin isn't proven enough, but I'd be willing to bet that Norton pushes him back - it's just a matter of if Povetkin can sting hard enough going backwards McCline - Another interesting fight...it's either a McCline KO inside of 4 or a wide Norton UD. Norton had a really weird style in a few ways - he was a moderately big, come-forward guy, but he was a jab/cross kind of come-forward. If that wasn't weird enough, he had good power himself, and yet was TERRIFIED of big punchers...
Norton KO's Wlad " badly ", but you give Povetkin a 50/50 shot. The light hitting McCline has a shot of beating Norton inside of 4 rounds, yet Peter doesn't. Some strange picks here.
Seemed odd to me too. I think Kenny would do fairly well against most. I think he beats Peter, personally.
he could be jumped early by big punchers Foreman, Shavers, Cooney but Imo NONE of todays heavys have that type of power as those 3 I think Wlad comes closest and if he jumped on top of Norton I would give him A chance on an early KO, Peter,Ibragamov, and the rest of the gang he would drag them out to deep water and drown them inside of 8 rounds ....He would have a belt EASY
He would not beat either Klitschko. Vitaly would probably do something similar to what Gerry Cooney did to him. Wlad would stop him early too. Ibraginov would probably be a tossup. I have not seen the Uzbek enough to form an opinion. Peter would probably beat Norton inside the distance too. But he looked vulnerable against McCline. Maskaev is slow and ponderous but very strong. I think Norton could outwork him early on but Maskaev would catch up to an exhausted Norton for a late stoppage or split decision verdict. Povetkin and Chambers are good young fighters who have a lot ahead of them. Cannot compare these younsters to someone like Norton yet.
I think Sam Peter would be a tough fight stylewise for Norton. Peter's power and aggression would be tough for Norton to handle. Yeah, Peter showed his chin can be vulnerable against McCline, but Norton didn't have McCline's size. And Norton showed that his chin was definitely vulnerable to hard hitters. Peter would blow Norton out!
The only guy i'd pick to beat Norton for sure is Klitschko. A lot of people are selling Kenny short here. He competed in probably the deepest Heavyweight division ever and didn't do too bad there.
